Use the dipstick to put a single drop of engine oil in the circle on the card, as the instructions show.

Let it develop
The drop spreads through the card. Leave it for the time given in the instructions.

Scan it at a testing point
Take the card to an EngineIQ testing point, such as a partner garage or kiosk, and scan it.

Read your report
Your report arrives by email, with a plain-English explanation of what it indicates.

What the test can and can't tell you
It can
- Give an indication of the condition of your engine oil.
- Screen for signs that can point to problems worth a closer look.
- Help you decide whether a mechanic's inspection or a laboratory oil analysis is worth doing.
It can't
- Replace a mechanical inspection. It isn't a diagnosis of a fault.
- Guarantee the condition of an engine, even when the result is normal.
- Tell you about parts of the car that the engine oil doesn't reach.
